Dr. Jim Mills is a Tuscaloosa native. He is a 1973 graduate of Tuscaloosa Academy and a 1977 graduate of the University of Alabama where he studied Biology, English and Classical Heritage. He graduated with his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1981 and completed his postdoctoral Endodontic Residency at the Veterans Medical Center and UAB in 1983.
He began private practice in Tuscaloosa in August, 1983. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association past president of the 6th District Dental Society past president of the Alabama Association of Endodontists and a member of the Southern Endodontic Study Club.
He was married to his wife, Annette in 1979 and they have two children, Lauren Clementz of Tuscaloosa and Jimmy Mills of Austin, Texas. They enjoy spending time with their six grandchildren.
Jim is a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa and the Covenant Sunday School Class. He is an active board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Alabama.
He and Annette frequently lead medical and dental missions to Honduras, working with the Hands of Christ Ministry. When not at the office he enjoys racquetball, duck and quail hunting, turkey hunting with his wife, enjoying his grandchildren‘s various activities and University of Alabama Athletics ! Roll Tide !!
